2Lot and Aloe Blacc

2ŁØT and Aloe Blacc usher in the new year with a pulse-pounding remix of their inspirational anthem “Immortal,” reimagined by global dance music icon Steve Aoki and released today via Dim Mak. The track transforms the original’s message of fearless living into a full-blown festival banger – merging soaring vocals with electrifying drops and big-room energy. Rooted in the ancient philosophy of memento mori – a reminder of life’s impermanence – “Immortal” challenges listeners to step into their purpose and let go of fear. “This remix brings the urgency of the message to a whole new level,” says 2ŁØT frontman Rudy Love Jr. “It’s about seizing every moment. And when Steve flipped the track, he gave it this unstoppable momentum that really drives that message home.” The release follows Aoki’s New Year’s Eve drop of HiROQUEST 3: Paragon Remixed, which includes a special remix of “Paragon” by 2ŁØT – offering fans a double dose of the emerging band’s signature mix of emotional resonance and genre-defying sound.

Baron von FrankenPaul

With a sound that bridges jazz, rock, soul, and improvisation, Baron von FrankenPaul channels the raw emotion of classic American music through a cinematic, groove-driven lens. Their songs pulse with grit and grace — music for listeners who crave musicianship with heart, storytelling with edge, and the thrill of a live band in full flight. Baron Raymonde (saxophone), Frank Osgood (guitar), and Paul ILL (bass/production) are the kindred spirits behind this powerhouse trio.
Together, they conjure a potent sonic brew that fuses Jazz, Rock, and Funk into something both fearless and deeply musical. Their self-titled debut album showcases a collective passion for songwriting, adventurous harmony, and instrumental firepower — featuring a “Who’s Who” of world-class drummers and percussionists, including James Gadson, Steve Ferrone, Matt Abts, Wally Ingram, and Jeremy Colson. Adding yet another dimension to the mix are the pedal-steel explorations of Andrea Whitt and Greg McMullen, while vocalist Olivia Morreale lends her soulful, mellifluous power to the standout track “Tall Shoes Mary.”
The album’s repertoire stretches from bold reinterpretations of Coltrane, Miles Davis, Alice in Chains, and The Doors to richly melodic, harmonically daring originals. What you get with Baron von FrankenPaul is universal music for lovers of jam bands, rock, and jazz alike. When they swing, they swing. When they rock, they rock. And when they roll — hold on tight. Recording began at The Loft Studio in Bronxville, NY, engineered by Al Hemberger and featuring Greg McMullen (pedal steel), Victoria Berdy (percussion), and Ricardo Belletta (drums).
The trio later continued sessions in Los Angeles, officially adopting the name Baron von FrankenPaul — a playful merging of identities that mirrors their sound: part structure, part freedom, all soul.
Bumpin Uglies

BUMPIN UGLIES’ latest album, Crawling Up the Wall, marks a significant chapter in the band’s evolution. Following the celebrated release of their previous album, Lyrics Over Everything, this latest record showcases the band’s enduring commitment to authenticity, bold storytelling, and their steadfast dedication to evolving their craft.
To celebrate their new album, Bumpin Uglies are also launching a National Tour! (Dates Below) Consisting of 14 tracks, Crawling Up the Wall vividly explores personal battles, emotional vulnerabilities, and the intricacies of everyday life. Frontman and songwriter Brandon Hardesty dives deep, tackling themes of addiction, mental health, and love with an unfiltered lyrical honesty that resonates profoundly. The album opens with “Sweet Tooth,” a candid look at addiction’s lingering grip, juxtaposing upbeat melodies against stark reflections. Meanwhile, songs like “Back in Bed” provide an intimate, tender snapshot of comfort found within personal connections, highlighting the band’s versatility and emotional depth.

With the songs “Burn it Down” and the dynamic road-trip tribute “I-95,” Bumpin Uglies channels their renowned live energy into studio recordings, capturing the spirit and gritty charm fans have grown to expect. Crawling Up The Wall also showcases notable collaborations, most prominently on “Orange Crush,” featuring Logan Rex of Artikal Sound System. The song blends buoyant pop melodies with reggae undertones, perfectly capturing the tension and allure of a fleeting, passionate romance. Further pushing their musical boundaries, “Thirst Trap” introduces hip-hop influences paired with an engaging R&B chorus, showcasing the band’s creative willingness to experiment beyond conventional genre norms. Tracks such as “The Crown” and “Vultures” stand out for their incisive commentary on societal expectations, industry pressures, and personal authenticity, further amplifying the band’s stance on remaining true to their values and artistic identity. Throughout the record, Hardesty’s lyricism remains both relatable and profoundly reflective. Songs like “Crawling Up the Wall” and “Darkness” delve deeply into mental health struggles, candidly confronting anxiety, depression, and the isolation that often accompanies them.
Yet, there’s a prevailing sense of hope and resilience woven throughout the album—particularly evident in songs such as “Growing Pains” and “Falling,” which grapple openly with fatherhood, legacy, and the balance of personal fulfillment against familial responsibility. Continuing their signature independent approach, Crawling Up the Wall preserves the gritty, authentic style that has become synonymous with Bumpin Uglies. Distributed independently, the album’s production emphasizes emotional clarity and lyrical poignancy over polished perfection, further strengthening their deep connection with fans.
Dean Petrella

Dean Petrella’s new single “You” is a melodic soft rock gem. It’s a bit of a departure from most of his darker writing and is more of a traditional love song, intended to be a wedding ballad.
Dean Petrella [Providence/Nashville based], is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and the lead singer of The Complaints.
Harry Hochman

Oh Michigan is HARRY HOCHMAN’s second release, two years after his critically acclaimed album Inside Out, which garnered hundreds of thousands of Spotify streams. The title track of Oh Michigan draws on Hochman’s heritage, speaking to the feelings he still has for his native state even after many years as a Los Angeles transplant. “I think everyone has a fantasy of going back to the place of their youth and this is mine,” says Hochman. “Oh Michigan” features backing vocals by Gia Ciambotti, who’s toured with many artists, including Bruce Springsteen and Lucinda Williams.
A host of other hyper-talented musicians play on this and other tracks on the EP, including percussionist Kevin Jarvis, who has toured internationally and, who also recorded and produced Hochman’s new record at the Sonic Boom Room in Venice, California. Other stellar contributions to the EP were made by guitarists Aaron Steinberg and Zachary Ross, keyboardist Carl Byron and bassist Dave Carpenter. “I’m so privileged to be in L.A. where so many incredible musicians are happy to lend a hand to a passion project such as this,” says Hochman. Other notable tracks include a beautiful ballad that Hochman wrote during a wind storm at Burning Man called ”When She Blows,” featuring The Accidentals on strings.
The focus of “DynaGlide” is Hochman’s most recent Harley motorcycle; the song tells a true story of riding through an autumn storm in the Utah desert. ”What struck me was that even the very worst day on a motorcycle is better than the very best day at the office,” says Hochman. “Claire de Lune” tells the story of friends who met at a rave in Berlin “doing what people do at raves in Berlin” and against all odds, are now happily married with children.
Here Come The Mummies

“Here Come The Mummies are one bad-ass band, a hybrid of Idris Muhammad, George Clinton, Ohio Players, and Earth, Wind & Fire.” -Blurt Magazine The legendary, linen-wrapped lords of funk, HERE COME THE MUMMIES, continue their unstoppable groove-march with the release of Road Trip and a National Tour! Leading the charge on Road Trip is Focus Track “DTF,” a prime cut of the band’s signature “terrifying funk from beyond the grave.” Built on deep-pocket rhythms and tongue-in-cheek charm, “DTF” invites listeners into the Mummies’ mischievous world.
As the band explains: “Anagrams can stand for lots of things. Like BDE, or FBI. In this case, we are slingin’ some Down Town Funk your way. DTF.” Road Trip captures the joy, chaos, and camaraderie of life in motion—those long drives, loud laughs, and spontaneous detours that turn simple travel into unforgettable memories. According to one Mummy, “There’s only good vibes on a road trip. We distilled this feeling into a funky-ass groove so you can get that feeling from your futon, office chair or VW bus.” Official Video for “Rubber Meets The Road” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4RJaIQ1mK8
Throughout the record, Here Come The Mummies deliver a full-on funk joyride, from the celebratory title track “Road Trip” to the punchy escape anthem “Rubber Meets the Road,” the sly mischief of “Backdoor” and the unapologetic downtown strut of “DTF.” The result is a tightly packed collection of grooves designed to move bodies, shake rooms, and keep the good vibes rolling wherever you land. Here Come the Mummies have built a reputation as one of North America’s most electrifying live acts. Their high-impact performances have made them a major draw across clubs, theaters, and festivals in multiple U.S. markets with capacities reaching more than 2,000 tickets, and they continue to captivate audiences from SummerFest to Jam Cruise. They’ve shared stages with legends like P-Funk, Al Green, Mavis Staples, KC & The Sunshine Band, and Cheap Trick, while igniting festivals such as Summer Fest, Summer Camp, Bluesfest Byron Bay, Musikfest, and Suwannee Hulaween.
From rocking the Super Bowl Village to becoming favorites on The Bob & Tom Show and appearing on That’s My Jam with Jimmy Fallon, the band continues to prove that not even 5,000 years underground can stop a truly unstoppable groove. The Mummies’ origins remain a mystery—some swear they were cursed after deflowering a Pharaoh’s daughter, others insist they’re reincarnated Grammy-winning studio musicians. Whatever the truth, their airtight songwriting, outrageous stage presence, and relentless commitment to funk have made them a force beyond explanation. One thing is certain: their live show will bend your brain and melt your face.

Jennie Arnau

Guess who’s back? Yep, Jennie Arnau! After a 15-year “vacation” (life, love, and a few unexpected detours), the Americana singer-songwriter returns with A Rising Tide, the long-awaited follow-up to her 2010 album Chasing Giants of which Rolling Stone’s Joe Levy wrote: “I’ve known Jennie for years. She has a big voice and even bigger heart. You’ll come to know both intimately in this, her most fully realized set of songs yet. If you care about the struggle for love and happiness – and who among us doesn’t – this one’s for you.” Older? Definitely. Wiser? Absolutely. With more stories than you can shake a tambourine at, Jennie has turned loss, reflection, and resilience into a soundtrack of strength and heart. These songs are raw, real, and as emotionally rich as a late-night heart-to-heart with a friend—preferably somewhere along a winding highway.
The 14 tracks span folk-indie gems like “Mabel” and “Heaven in Her Eyes” to the yacht-rock sway of “Sail Away,” the anthemic drive of “One if by Land,” and the Americana pull of “Back to Carolina,” “The King,” “Simple Man,” and “Countryman.” It’s a collection made for long car rides— southbound, up the East Coast, or out to the countryside—where music and landscape blur together in equal beauty. The impact of Arnau’s words is immense. Unflinching and uncompromising, Jennie stands her ground in what she believes and how she writes. Sitting somewhere in the realm of Waxahatchee meets Jason Isbell meets Sheryl Crow, A Rising Tide is as bold as it is comforting, a reminder that the best music makes us feel both seen and alive. And that’s her hope: connection. “I hope the listeners hear something they can relate to because it means a lot to me,” Jennie says. “I just hope somebody finds a little bit of solace, and they understand that none of us are in it alone.” Turns out that 15-year break? Just the prelude.

Leanne Binder

After nearly wrecking her voice as a promising teenage singer, LEANNE BINDER had to learn how to sing again from scratch, rebuilding her instrument through soul, blues, and rock – discovering a raw power that technique alone could never teach. She began writing her own material, performing wherever she could, and slowly forged a career defined by independence and endurance. “I’ve been driving my own ship my whole life,” she says – and the mileage shows.
Now based in her home state of Ohio, Binder has come into her strongest form yet. Her latest release, I Got Something to Say, marks both a return to roots and a declaration of self – a record that captures her unfiltered voice, lived experience, and hard-earned perspective. Produced by Grammy winner Lee J. Turner (Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Hank Williams Jr.), the seven-track EP blends blues grit with soulful urgency and rock energy. “Sometimes when writing songs, you’re just trying to be honest in the lyrics and music, creating in the moment,” says Binder. “This is how most of this album was written. I put the song list together and realized the story being told was my own. If you listen carefully, every song has some sort of redemption or hope.”
Songs like “Little Bitta” and “Drinking Stars” channel her Zeppelin-and-Joplin spirit, while “Let It Pour” and “Broken Things” reveal a deeper tenderness and resolve. Together, they trace the line between survival and release, with lyrics that leave space for listeners to find their own meaning. Over the years, Binder’s journey has taken her from smoky Midwestern bars to festival stages across the U.S. and Europe.
She’s performed at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, headlined the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, and become a fixture at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where she’s shared stages with artists like Joe Bonamassa, Tommy Castro, and Shemekia Copeland.

Miguel Kertsman

“Composer and musician Miguel Kertsman lets us hear music rooted in European classical traditions and Brazilian folklore. Overall, this music remains indescribable and defies categorization.” -Rolling Stone Experience Paradoxes, the newest musical odyssey from Brazilian-American musician Miguel Kertsman. As a multi-hyphenate, Kertsman has composed, produced, engineered, arranged, conducted and played keyboards across a diversity of genres such as contemporary classical, jazz, rock, and world music, but Paradoxes is a special affair, a personal foray into the progressive rock styles which inspired him in his youth. “I have always been fascinated by paradoxes — whether as curiosities found in science, astrophysics or math, or in everyday human behavior,” says Kertsman, “Growing up, I was surrounded by classical music and Jazz, and the incredibly rich musical life of Brazil.
Moving to New York later introduced me to even more musical languages. But as a child, it was the Progressive Rock bands of the time that truly captivated me.” An album of synthesizer-driven prog rock familiar to fans of Yes, Patrick Moraz, and Pink Floyd might seem like an unintuitive move for a composer whose work has been recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, but Kertsman doesn’t necessarily see it that way. “The music of progressive rock paralleled the classical music I knew: it embraced longer forms, told stories across multiple movements and songs, balanced instrumental passages with lyrics, and fearlessly pushed boundaries.” And Kertsman, whose music can be heard everywhere from video game loading screens to the Olympics, and has collaborated with everyone from opera singer Angelika Kirchschlager to guitarist John Williams to Dan the Automator, knows a little something about pushing boundaries.
Paradoxes is a concept album whose parts are all played live-in-the-space on original vintage instruments, along with drums, bass, guitars, and vocals, captured through only a few microphones. Fans of vintage synths will be delighted to hear the classic, warm tones of Minimoogs, Mellotron, and Prophet 10 performed with a creativity reminiscent of Rick Wakeman and Richard Wright. “Red Blue Sky” (featuring the evocative vocals of Drew Sarich) and “i-Clock” include gentle satire of political polarization in the context of an attitude of empathy, an attitude which extends to “Liquid Fire,” an ode of anxiety and contemplation on Spaceship Earth. “Interestingly, and not by design, the album’s story also revolves around humankind, and our home, the Earth — as described in “Atemporal Ocean” (accompanying vocals: Saiphe) “These are also the themes underlining my very first album ‘Música, Mito, e Mistério’ back in ’82, which was also a ‘classical prog rock’ record in Brazil,” reflects Kertsman.
Kertsman’s Paradoxes are worth taking time to disentangle this fall, for those who like their synthesizers warm, their playing virtuosic, and their rock prog. MUSICIANS Miguel Kertsman: Piano, Harpsichord, Pipe Organ, Vintage Analog Keyboards & Synthesizers (all tracks), Vocals (7, 9). Vocals: Drew Sarich (3, 6), Saiphe (7), Drums: Titus Vadon (2, 3, 5, 6, 7), Matheus Jardim (1, 4), Michael Schatzmann (8, 9), Guitars: Stefan Bernheimer (3, 8), Bass: Helmut Schartlmüller (3, 6, 9).
Mitch Dalton

MITCH DALTON, one of the U.K.’s most renowned studio guitarists, explores his love of jazz in his latest release Out of the Shadows, which sees the sideman step into the solo spotlight. Between his session work and experience in jazz bands, Dalton’s credits read like a veritable who’s who. He can count Herbie Hancock, Ella Fitzgerald, Wayne Shorter, Peggy Lee, and Quincy Jones among his collaborators, to name a few. On Out of the Shadows, Dalton continues his record of taste in compatriots, enlisting the 3x Grammy-nominated SWR Big Band and Miami, Florida’s own Edwin Bonilla (Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez) for the rhythm section.
Mitch Dalton draws from many sources in his exploration of American musical genres, taking influence from fusion, Latin Jazz, and bebop to craft something both sophisticated and surprisingly toe-tapping. Vocalist Jazz Morley (The Voice UK) joins Dalton on four tracks, including a soaring performance on the romantic “We Do It” and perhaps the album’s most daring moment, “Besame Mash Up.” This track sees Dalton fusing two Latin classics: Consuelo Velázquez’s “Besame Mucho” and Tito Puente’s “Oye Como Va,” a potentially risky move that pays off in spades for Dalton & co., resulting in a track that’s both reverential and fresh. “Freberg’s Folly” demonstrates the band’s talent with a harmonically and rhythmically dense track that shows off creativity as much as pure chops.
Overall, Out of the Shadows is twelve tracks bursting at the seams with ingenuity from one of the most unique ensembles you’re likely to hear this year! Personnel David Arch: Piano and Keyboards, Tim Goodyer: Drums, Steve Pearce: Bass Guitar, Bill Sharpe: Additional Piano (Track 7), Edwin Bonilla: Percussion (1, 3, 5-9), Sammy Mayne: Alto Saxophone (2, 8), Tenor Saxophone (6, 12), Flutes (3, 5, 7, 9), Jazz Morley: Vox (3, 5, 6, 7), The SWR Big Band (1, 4, 5- 12). https://www.facebook.com/mitch.dalton.5 https://www.instagram.com/dalton.mitch/

Nuke The Soup

When two people decide to bare their souls to one another completely, love can be one of the most magical forces on Earth. But when communication falters, love can turn torturous and unbearably fragile. Wrapped in a blanket of delicate, wistful acoustic strums, NUKE THE SOUP’s new single “Lost On You” unravels the struggle of a lover just trying to “keep it all together” as his relationship teeters on the verge of collapse. This narrator doesn’t know where it all went wrong—when their connection shifted into misunderstanding—but he can feel the tension and detachment closing in.
Official Video for “Lost On You” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzwJEBIwJJc
Left to wonder whether they’re on the same wavelength, he asks the difficult questions, unsure if it’s already too late to salvage what they once had, only for her to echo his doubts right back. Yet the soft shake of the tambourine and bright synths suggest that not everything has slipped away, because they’re still fighting to hold on. Filled with quiet anxiety and tender devastation that seeps through every crack, “Lost On You” gives voice to the many who’ve felt love lose its way—striving to be heard even as their bond frays and falls apart at the seams.
Nuke The Soup is often heralded as a beacon of rare, nuanced simplicity—the kind of music that shimmers like the surface of an expansive lake, reflecting life’s scenery with a dreamy ripple that enchants listeners from the very first listen. Guided by creative highflier Mark Davison, the Baltimore-based project continues to evolve and surprise, crafting a distinct sound unafraid to embrace the playful, emotive, and even sophisticated sides of the human experience. All the while, they venture deeper into the inevitable unknowns, exploring original musical terrains year after year. “Lost On You” is from Nuke the Soup’s latest album, Dancing On The Edge, their most poignant and polished offering yet, brought to life by Grammy-winning producer Kevin Killen (U2, Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello) and Gerry “Spooky Ghost” Leonard (David Bowie), and they’ve been generating buzz and acclaim ever since. Each track on Dancing On The Edge feels as if it comes straight from the heart of someone familiar—someone who knows what it means to love and to lose, to hope and dream, and to use music as a vessel for sorting out the mysteries of both the inner and outer world, one song at a time.

Nuke The Soup-Album

NUKE THE SOUP’s new album Dancing On The Edge was produced by Grammy-winner Kevin Killen (U2, Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello) and Gerry “Spooky Ghost” Leonard (David Bowie). The album features a lively ensemble of standout musicians, including bandleader Mark Davison, keyboardist Brian Simms, guitarist Gerry Leonard, bassist Mike Mennell, and drummers Chester Thompson and John Thomakos. Together, this fiercely independent band crafts delicious rock-and-roll, blending introspective and socially conscious lyrics with infectiously catchy melodies and an effortless natural spirit. The 11 songs on Dancing On The Edge were written and recorded within two years, during a time when bandleader Mark Davison lost both parents. Davison states, “Although the song ‘I Ride Alone’ is about facing mortality & new challenges, the overall album is as a celebration of my parents and the full lives they lived.
I’m celebrating by skiing, surfing & creating music!” We certainly see Mark’s good time attitude toward life in the album’s summery single, “Big Dave Wave.” Nuke The Soup’s previous albums, Make Waves Not War (2009) and Deeper (2018), boldly tackled “big picture” topics such as politics, climate change, and the complexities of personal relationships. Now, with their highly anticipated album, Dancing On The Edge, NTS continues to push boundaries, delivering a collection of energetic, ear wormy songs that explore life’s deeper questions while keeping listeners hooked with their signature sound.
OG8

OG8 is a collective force of award-winning, seasoned musicians focused on love of music over pursuit of ego. Based in Portland, Oregon, the driving force behind OG8 is guitarist Troy Williver (Joe Walsh, Heart, Robin Trower). Hell bent on being a band that doesn’t rely on a record label for success and acknowledgment, in early 2023 Williver established Beat Farm Music. Williver’s search for a vocalist who shared his goals and could command the stage while captivating an audience with an eclectic Rock/Americana/Blues sound led him to Jaime Lynch (Pretty Little Liars, Pussycat Dolls, Peepshow). According to Music Connection, “Lynch has a powerful voice, rich and soulful, and begs to be heard live on stage.” A multiple winner of “Best of Las Vegas,” Lynch was the element that ignited the undeniable chemistry of OG8.
Drummer Michael Thomas Underwood III (Steve March Torme’, Landau Murphy), saxophonist Renato Caranto (Esperanza Spalding, Merle Haggard), keyboardist George Mitchell (Diana Ross, Sonny Stitt, Jon Hendricks), bassist Phil Baker (Pink Martini, Diana Ross) and sound engineer Drew Canulette (Black Flag, Neil Young, Pearl Jam) round out the band. “With mutual respect and willingness to try new and innovative approaches to songwriting, Jaime and I have found a creative bond,” states Williver. “We’re writing and producing music with messages of strength and positivity – creating everlasting appeal to the masses.” Williver, who has nearly 50 years of many associations with professional musicians and studios, has delivered hundreds of hours to recording sessions and touring – including Sound Garden, Mudhoney, Joe Walsh, Heart, Green Day and more.
Ray Barnard

“Ray Barnard’s new album sounds like Donald Fagen fronting the Black Pumas, riffing on Blue Dream and Red Stripe. There’s also a punchy Roots-Rock strain running thru it. Ray sings with a sardonic grin – the world keeps thrusting humility upon him, so he keeps ducking & swinging.”– SJW Record Review Twin Cities-native RAY BARNARD wrote, arranged and produced his fifth solo album, And The Horse You Rode In On. On his new release we hear Barnard’s continued fascination with fusing Soul, R&B, Reggae, and Roots-Rock while incorporating live rhythm tracks. It’s a fascination Barnard has been pursuing for over three decades.
The grooves on And The Horse You Rod In On travel to different places—reggae, world-beat, tex-mex—like a low-profile Paul Simon. And the splendid rhythm section – Jeremy Johnson, Blair Krivanek, Nick Salisbury, and Greg Schutte – play the changes like a well-oiled machine. An overall theme on And The Horse You Road In On is feeling like a stranger in one’s own hometown. The track “Scufflin’” is about discovering that self-preservation is not a solo pursuit. “Closer To God” is a gospel tune about natural temples and experiencing spirituality on one’s own. “Greenlight” is a straight up love letter that, according to Barnard, is about “the girl who gave me the key to the highway.”
Before Ray Barnard began his solo career, he led the roots-rock group The Copperheads for twelve years. The group released three albums and was known for mixing Country and R&B. The Copperheads also played high profile shows with Junior Brown, Chris Scruggs, Rosie Flores, the Iguanas, Randy Weeks, Charlie Robison, Shooter Jennings, Ty Herndon, Jack Ingram, the Oak Ridge Boys. Barnard also played sideman for Frederick Thomas & Natural Selection, along with Minneapolis-Saint Paul acts such as In2ition, Bill Geezy, Molly Maher, Paul Bergen, the Dan Lowinger 4, Becky Kapell & the Fat Six, and Erik Koskinen.
“Minnesota’s best kept secret for 15 years running.” – Frogtown Blogosphere
Ray Barnard

“Scufflin’” is like an indie movie about a tortured artist seeking redemption in a godless indifferent world. Its about grinding through the bleakest of times only to find you’re not alone in the struggle..From the album And The Horse You Rode In On, “Scufflin’” is a powerful roots-reggae anthem infused with soul and defiance. With haunting guitar lines and a resolute spirit, this track is a bold cry for dignity in a world that often looks the other way.

Scott Rednor (Album)

The Scott Rednor Band’s new album Where You Wanna Go is a collection of songs that explore life, love, and the journey of self-discovery through heartfelt writing and dynamic musicianship. Featuring John Popper of Blues Traveler, “Where You Wanna Go” is the first single from SCOTT REDNOR’s upcoming album by the same name. The song is about travel and all of the unknowns that come along with it! Who the people are surrounding us, their unknown stories, their varied backgrounds and accomplishments, and our assumptions of these things based on people’s appearances and perceived attitudes. All of which we will most likely never know! “Where You Wanna Go” includes Brian Loftus on drums, Wil Trask on percussion, Tom Spiker on Bass, Adam Macdougall on Mini Moog, Scott Rednor on Guitars, and Scott’s friend John Popper on Harmonica. According to Rednor, “we had a few awesome Bass players on the record and I believe there’s a point in the middle of the song where we kept 2 bass parts!
That second bassist is Adrian “Ace” Engfer.” Scott Rednor has recorded and toured extensively, including with the Horde Tour, Dean Wean Group, John Oates, and his own bands Brothers Keeper and the Scott Rednor Band. Rednor has also designed, built and opened music venues in NJ, PA, and CO. Seraina Tellli

With her new album GREEN, Swiss artist SERAINA TELLI unveils a bold musical evolution – personal, clear, and conceptually ambitious. The title is no coincidence: “Music appears as colors to me” (a phenomenon known as chromesthesia), explains Seraina, “and Green is the first color in a larger project.” Thematically, the album revolves around responsibility – to others, the environment, and oneself.
Musically, GREEN explores new territory for Seraina Telli, featuring more electronic elements and a deliberate move away from more typical rock compositions. Although she’s probably more well-known in the EU for previous hard-rocking performances with Rizon, Surrillum, and Burning Witches, switching to a solo career has allowed Telli to focus on songwriting.

In fact, Seraina Telli’s songwriting takes center stage on GREEN, supported by producer Rico Horber. The result is a collection of diverse, emotionally rich tracks that blend rock, roots, pop, and balladic depth, combined with Telli’s crisp and distinctive voice. Her lyrics span from social commentary (“Consequences”) to deeply personal reflections (“Gold”) and empowering anthems like “Let It All Out,” which calls for selfexpression and authenticity. With GREEN, we experience an artist who allows herself to be vulnerable while demonstrating that true strength often lies in openness.

Sounding Arrow

“The aesthetic of this record matches perfectly the lyrical meaning within the song, summoning even-keeled positivity and hope.” —Seth Avett, The Avett Brothers
Veteran recording artist and touring musician Scott Kinnebrew is back with a second single, “Lucky Shaman,” from his solo project SOUNDING ARROW. What began as a series of bedroom demos evolved into a fully realized ode to easeful living. As with the entire forthcoming album Skyman, both the music and message feel intimate, layered, expansive. As Kinnebrew explains, “the track is about a shaman whose love was humble enough to save the whole world. Although it may seem conceptually deep, it’s set to a buttshaking Brit blues invasion groove.“

Tobin Mueller

“Come In Funky starts with legendary bassist Ron Carter knocking on his standup bass as if wanting to enter. Once the door opens, funky tunes flow from all directions. Driven by sax, organ & bass, these recordings form a perfect collection that defines the many faces of funk.” – Jazziz
TOBIN MUELLER has teamed up yet again with his favorite collaborator, Woody Mankowski, to create another upbeat jazz-funk project with Come In Funky! Woody contributed to six of the tracks, adding his unique energy and genius. Several tracks from Come In Funky have been featured as “Song of the Day” on AllAboutJazz.com. Five of these recordings also feature legendary Ron Carter on bass. He has appeared on over 2,500 albums and his imagination knows no bounds.
Some of these tunes are classic yet original funk tracks that transport you back in time to when most everything (music, clothes, language) owed its hipness to the Funk wing of 1970s Jazz. But several others are quirky jazz-funk etudes that resonate with unique playfulness and humor. Seven of the tracks have no percussion, relying instead on the rhythmic playing of bass or keys to provide the drive.
This lends a nimble clarity to the music, highlighting its intimate whimsy. Tobin’s mixture of B3 organ, electric piano, clavicord and synths overlay Ron Carter’s dancing bass lines during the “Interludes.” Together, they create playful and sometimes psychedelic duets. Regarding the origins of Come In Funky, Tobin Mueller states, “some of these recordings go back several years.
The finishing touches began in 2011, but hurricanes, illness, and other acts of surprise and chaos got in the way. It wasn’t until my son heard the raw mixes and shared how much he dug them, that I decided to organize and remaster everything.” www.TobinMueller.com
Todd Mack

I’m Gonna Love You No Matter What, the eighth album by singer-songwriter Todd Mack and his first in 14 long years, serves up 11 story-driven originals featuring a dozen and a half musicians from around the country, including Krishna Guthrie (Arlo’s grandson and Woody’s great grandson) on guitar, Hannah Lynn Cohen (Zach Bryan) on fiddle, Brian Kantor (Fruit Bats, Vetiver, Defibulators), and Katherine Winston (American Idol Season 14 semi-finalist), among others. Recorded, mixed, and co-produced with Mack by Rob Vermeulen at his Robbo Music recording studio in Morro Bay, CA, I’m Gonna Love You No Matter What is a lushly layered tapestry of guitars, keys, fiddle, mandolin and more that beautifully highlights Mack’s rootsy Americana style and gritty sound. The album showcases Mack’s lyrically driven writing style, particularly on numbers like “On a Line,” “Undone,” and “Ain’t Enough.”
For more than 40 years, Mack has voyaged the road less traveled. His musical endeavors have taken him all over the world, performing in some unexpected places such as the famed Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents Club, a bomb shelter in Israel, a remote island in Fiji, and the Taichung Jazz Festival in Taiwan to name a few. A classically trained musician beginning at eight years old, his life changed when he picked up his first guitar a few years later. He began writing almost immediately. His professional journey began in 1989 with his self-titled debut followed by a decade of full-time touring and six subsequent releases through 2011.
