Les Claypool has confirmed the release of Adverse Yaw: The Prawn Song Years Box Set, a five-album set collecting his 2000s solo recordings. The compilation will officially drop on Feb. 9, via his own Prawn Song Records.

Documenting music recorded during the past almost 25 years, Adverse Yaw: The Prawn Song Years Box Set, will feature his work with The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade (Live Frogs Sets 1 & 2, Purple Onion) and Colonel Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains (The Big Eyeball In the Sky), as well as his solo LPs (Of Whales & Woe, Of Fungi & Foe), which featured members of The Fancy Band. The bassist admits that part of the reason for releasing the box set is to help organize his catalog on streaming services.

Third Man Records has announced the release of the 58th installment of their Vault series with The White Stripes – Live in Las Vegas. Paired with the 2003 set is a special bonus 7” featuring Bob Dylan’s 2004 performance of the eternal White Stripes favorite “Ball and Biscuit” featuring Jack White, and on the flip side, the first-ever performance of the track.

In response to the devastating fires that have recently swept over the Hawaiian island Maui, singer-songwriter Jack Johnson has stepped up to support fire relief efforts and provide ongoing aid to affected communities with a new live album titled Songs For Maui. Johnson, well-known for his strong ties to Hawaii and commitment to environmental and community causes, will drop the album on Sept. 15 and perform an intimate benefit concert two days after its release.

Songs For Maui comprises 10 chart-topping tracks recorded live during Johnson’s 2012 Hawaiian Islands tour at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Castle Theater. The album will also feature performances by Hawaii’s own Paula Fuga and John Cruz.

Last night, August 31, Pearl Jam took the stage at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. The concert represented the first time this group of musicians had assembled in nearly a year, making it a special occasion for fans as the band dug into their music catalog and dusted off a selection of material, reigniting the flame of past performances as they breathed renewed energy into the music

Talking Heads members: David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz and Jerry Harrison will come together for a live Q&A to mark the 40th anniversary of their celebrated concert film, Stop Making Sense, which is set to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday, Sept. 11. The forthcoming panel will be the first public appearance by the group in over 20 years.

Blues Traveler have announced the release of their first new record in two years. The album, Traveler’s Soul, via Round Hill Records/Black Hill Records, marks the favored rock group’s 15th full-length release, following 2021’s Traveler’s Blues drop. In support of the new project, the New Jersey natives are set to release the first single off the impending set, “Fool For You,” due on Friday, August 11.

Last night (August 2) saw The Strokes perform the first of two consecutive shows in Singapore. Those dates were announced to cater to Malaysian fans following the cancellation of Good Vibes Festival last week.

Casablancas and co. had been scheduled to appear at the aforementioned event. However, the festival was scrapped after Matty Healy spoke out against the Malaysian government’s stance on LGBTQ matters on stage during The 1975‘s set.
