Mike Montrey Band – In the Middle of Hope

Middle of Hope, was recorded at GD PonderRosa studios in Lafayette, NJ by Tom Askin (Samples). Recorded just prior to the pandemic, the songs have a prescient feel to them about what was to come. As Montrey explained to Rock On Radio host Danny Coleman, “When I wrote these songs I realized that I hadn’t given a title to the album yet. I needed to call it something in order to keep track of things. I was looking through the lyrics of the songs I noticed that they all have a vibe of that sentiment—being in the middle of hope. Two weeks later, this pandemic happened, and it struck me as strange in a way.”
