Following the critically acclaimed 2025 release American Cosmic Revival Vol. 1: Back At Home, which received reviews and features from Glide Magazine, Americana Highways, Americana UK, Rocking Magpie, Racket Magazine, and Psychedelic Baby Magazine, the new album continues the American Cosmic Revival series with a broader exploration of the music, stories, and enduring legacy of Cosmic American Music. Inspired by the enduring legacy of Gram Parsons, Gene Clark, The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and the pioneers of country-rock, Miles From Nowhere expands beyond the International Submarine Band material featured on Vol. 1. Rather than simply revisiting classic recordings, the album brings together songs connected by a common thread of heartache, redemption, loneliness, resilience, and the search for home—capturing the emotional spirit at the heart of Cosmic American Music. “’Miles From Nowhere’ reflects the emotional journey that runs through the album.

These songs are about people searching for something—a place to belong, a love they’ve lost, a road back home, or simply hope for what’s ahead. That was always at the heart of Cosmic American Music. We wanted to honor that tradition while making these performances feel honest and alive for today’s listeners” — Christian Parker The album features legendary pianist Earl Poole Ball, whose career spans Johnny Cash, Gram Parsons, The Byrds, and Buck Owens, alongside legendary pedal steel guitarist Jay Dee Maness, whose work with Gram Parsons, The Byrds, and the Desert Rose Band helped define the sound of Cosmic American Music and country-rock. Joining Parker, Cleary and Ball are Gary Jacob, whose emotional pedal steel is featured throughout the album, Michael Rinne on bass, Ron Keck on drums, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Stevie Blacke—whose string arrangements have appeared on recordings by Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell, Chris Isaak, Joe Cocker, and Pink—and pedal steel player Tracer James. Built around rich harmonies, acoustic guitars, Earl Poole Ball’s signature piano, and expressive pedal steel, Miles From Nowhere honors the character of the original recordings while allowing each performance to develop its own identity.
