Ky-Mani “Maestro” Marley returns with Love and Energy, a 14-song collection accompanied by two spoken word reflections, marking Ky-Mani’s first studio album release in more than a decade. Throughout the project, Marley explores the experiences, relationships, struggles and growth that have shaped both the artist and the man he is today, while staying rooted in the reggae foundation that has defined his musical journey. The new album, which features guest appearances by an ensemble of Jamaican heavyweights like Sizzla, Gyptian, Anthony B, Agent Sasco (aka Assassin), Bugle, Andrew Tosh, Lutan Fyah, and Iba Mahr, is out now on all digital platforms via Ky-Mani’s Konfrontation Muzik label in partnership with New York-based DubShot Records. Guided by Marley’s sonic vision as a co-producer on every track but one, Love and Energy presents a rich tapestry of musical arrangements that serve to support the multi-talented artist’s impassioned vocal delivery and matured lyricism. Deep bass grooves, steady drumming, vibrant guitar work, melodic pianos, lilting flutes, and lush strings complement Ky-Mani’s signature raspy vocals throughout the collection.

Written by Ky-Mani Marley, daughter Imani Marley, and longtime collaborator Shaquel Leon, featured track “A Little Bit (I’m Okay)” turns a deeply personal chapter in Marley’s life into an honest reflection on mistakes, uncertainty, resilience and ultimately, acceptance.“ A Little Bit (I’m Okay)” became a crowd favorite during the European leg of Ky-Mani’s recent Love and Energy summer tour. A live video for the song captures an intimate performance filmed at the Toulouse Rio Loco Festival in France this past June, alongside behind-the-scenes footage from the road. Offering his thoughts on the album title, Ky-Mani said, “the title Love and Energy for me represents the idea that what we give to the world matters. The album carries a message of love, resilience, hope, and positive energy, even through difficult times.”

Ky-Mani Marley is a Grammy-nominated artist, actor and songwriter who has spent nearly three decades building a distinctive career rooted in reggae while expanding across hip-hop, soul and global music. The son of reggae legend Bob Marley and Anita Belnavis, Ky-Mani first emerged with his 1996 debut album, Like Father Like Son, and went on to release acclaimed projects including Many More Roads (2001), Maestro (2015) and Conversations (2016), his collaborative album with Gentleman.

Beyond music, Ky-Mani has built a strong presence on screen, most notably through his roles in the cult classic Shottas (2002) and One Love (2003). His unmistakable voice, introspective songwriting and genreblending style have led to collaborations with artists including Farruko, Dirty Heads, Pitbull, Big Kenny of Big & Rich and many others, while his touring history has ranged from sharing stages with Van Halen to joining his brothers for the 2024 Marley Brothers North American Legacy Tour. Love and Energy reflects Ky-Mani Marley’s growth, life experiences and evolution as both an artist and a man. Early single “New Creature” reached No. 1 in Jamaica, while his latest release, “A Little Bit (I’m Okay),” offers one of his most personal reflections yet — a song about navigating life’s challenges, accepting the roads taken and finding peace in being able to say, “I’m okay.”
